Teacher Services
In partnership with Lakewood schools, the Library is committed to promoting educational excellence and providing a variety of services to students and teachers to help meet their needs throughout the year. Services include programs that Library staff facilitate in the classroom.
Teacher Library Card
A teacher library card is available to licensed educators who teach at a preschool, primary school, middle school, or high school, and reside or teach in Lakewood. A teacher library card allows an educator to borrow up to 100 items at a time, all with a four-week loan period and to use the teacher loan courier service. An application for a teacher card may be picked up at the Main Library, Madison Branch, or accessed online.

Teachers with a teacher library card may have library items delivered to their Lakewood school or Lakewood home for use in the classroom. Deliveries and pickups are made every Thursday afternoon. There is a ten item minimum for deliveries. Requests for delivery must be placed by 5:00 p.m. on the Monday prior to the Thursday delivery date. Submit a request for delivery or pickup online or by calling (216) 226-8275, ext. 140.
