Computers
For the health and safety of our patrons and staff, all public computers in both the Technology Center at the Main Library and the Fedor Center at the Madison Branch are unavailable until further notice.
The Library continues to provide robust wireless Internet access throughout the Main Library and Madison Branch for patrons with Wi-Fi capable devices.
Public Computer Stations
Public computers are available at both the Main Library and the Madison Branch for patrons who need to conduct online research, make use of office-style programs, access email, or use social media. Patrons may print up to twenty pages per day at no charge and ten cents for each additional page thereafter. One day internet passes are available for those who are not registered Lakewood Public Library cardholders. Public computers shut down automatically each evening at 8:40 p.m.

Extended Time for Students and Job Seekers
Extended computer time for job seekers, students, distance learners, and those filling out applications or forms is available at both the Main Library Learning Lab and the Madison Branch.
Tech Tutors
The Library offers personal one-on-one help with technology. Learn word processing, improve your internet search skills, or become proficient with your eReader. Reservations are available at the Main Library on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. and on Thursdays between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and can be made by calling (216) 226-8275, ext. 127. Reservations are also available at the Madison Branch and can be made by calling (216) 228-7428. When registering, we’ll need to know the specific area where you need help.
Genealogy Workshops
How far back would you like to trace your family tree? Genealogist Deborah Abbott will show you how to unlock the secrets held by census reports, military records, birth certificates and death notices. This hands-on workshop is held once a month on Tuesdays in the Main Library Learning Lab. Call (216) 226-8275, ext. 127 to register.
One-on-One Job Search
Spend a half hour with an instructor polishing your resume, brushing up on computer skills and exploring online resources. Appointments are available Tuesdays between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., and Thursdays between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. in the Main Library Learning Lab.
