In this moving and beautifully orchestrated film, internationally acclaimed violinist and songwriter Kaoru Ishibashi, professionally know as Kishi Bashi, travels on a musical journey to understand World War II-era Japanese American incarceration, assimilation, and what it means to be a minority in America today.   

Although the incarceration of Japanese Americans during the war is a painful chapter in American history, there are many beautiful stories that come from this troubling time, one of which involves a children's librarian at the San Diego Public Library, Clara Breed.
