Cleveland Mafia Summit: Seized at the Statler

On December 5th, 1928, a secretive early meeting of the American Mafi a was to take place at Cleveland’s Hotel Statler. The Cleveland Police had other ideas and raided the hotel. What happened next has been a topic of mystery and debate for decades. Author Don Billie has written several Cleveland-focused books, including the recent Margaret Hamilton: From Cleveland, Ohio to the Land of Oz, as well as covering Freddy Krueger’s Cleveland roots for Cleveland Magazine.
