Is your child communicating in ways that don’t fit the traditional mold, and you’re wondering how best to support their growth? Are you curious about how to foster meaningful, affirming language development that meets your child where they are? Join Anne Fleming Anderson, MA, CCC-SLP, Senior Clinical Speech Pathologist with the Cleveland Clinic, for a deep dive into neuroaffirming approaches to communication that honor each child’s unique voice.
Families will learn how to create natural, motivating opportunities for language development through individualized strategies rooted in connection, interest and everyday moments. This program will introduce key ideas from Gestalt language processing, explore how to reframe traditional views of speech and pragmatic language and offer practical tools for supporting communication in a way that is respectful, responsive and empowering. This program is for adults only. Free childcare is available for this event for ages one to twelve years old.
Registration required for childcare.
