Word Stage II returns to the Library both to participate in the omnibus programming that explores the Pulitzer Prizes and Pulitzer Prize winners, and to celebrate April, National Poetry Month.
Pulitzer Prize winners Aaron Copland and Mary Oliver, with their music and words, celebrate the majesty and infinite variety of living things. Join Word Stage II in a celebration of these two renowned artists. Listen to the music of Aaron Copland, winner of the 1945 Pulitzer Prize in Music for his renowned ballet score Appalachian Spring, and the poetry of Mary Oliver who was born and raised in Maple Heights, Ohio, and who won the 1984 Pulitzer Prize for Poetry for her collection American Primitive.
