This Gun For Hire

In wartime San Francisco, a chemist has a secret formula that is being sought-after by both sides. Nightclub owner Willard Gates (Laird Crager) hires hitman Philip Raven (Alan Ladd) to secure the formula and cancel the chemist. Singer Ellen Graham (Veronica Lake) and her police detective boyfriend (Robert Preston) also become involved in the complicated case. It’s “spy versus spy” with Raven staying one step ahead of everyone.
