World War II veteran Nico Garcos (Richard Conte) returns home to find that his father has been maimed, and his trucking business hijacked. The man responsible is local mobster Mike Figlia (Lee J. Cobb). Garcos seeks revenge by loading a truck with apples and driving to Figlia’s marketplace to block his operation. As the conflict continues, Figlia hires femme fatale Rica (Valentina Cortese) to seduce and distract Garcos. A discussion will follow the screening.
