The Cleveland Police Department never gave up the hunt for six suspects involved in a payroll robbery-gone-bad on New Year’s Eve Day in 1920. The senseless double-murder, carried out by members of Cleveland’s infamous Mayfield Road Mob, ended with three in the electric chair, one sent to prison for life, another getting 30 years of hard labor, and the last one– the younger brother of Cleveland’s first Mafia boss– going free. Join crime writer Allan May for a discussion of his latest book, The Sly-Fanner Murders.
Books will be available for sale and signing at the event.
