The History of Indian Classical Music

With words and song, Sugata Chatterjee will teach about the three historical eras of Indian classical music: the Vedic age (when the Hindu scriptures, the Vedas, were written in 500 B.C.), Medieval times and the present day. Born in West Bengal, India, Sugata Chatterjee has cultivated a systematic and disciplined training on Hindustani classical music from her childhood under the able guidance of guru Satya Ranjan Chatterjee. She has presented her music throughout the USA, Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom and India.
