In ancient days, Lakewood went from being covered by warm ocean waters to sitting under a sheet of ice, a mile thick highAlyssa Reinhardt-Krotseng will discuss how this region has changed through time with features that make Lakewood, and the greater Cleveland area, geologically distinct and exciting. Alyssa is a PhD Candidate in Applied Geology at Kent State University, studying carbon cycling in modern soils, including South African termite mounds and Ohio forests, using gas analysis.
