English Airs and Dances Performed by Katherine Calvey

Enjoy royal treatment as professional musician Katherine Calvey performs a set of English airs and dances on the flute while accompanied by the historic sounds of the harpsichord and other instruments.  Learn about the history of rarely heard compositions and composers from the late 16th to 18th centuries. The presentation includes lovely slides of English castles taken during Ms. Calvey’s recent trip to the UK where she performed at the Royal Albert Hall London. And because March 8th marks the first day of Daylight Saving Time 2026, there will be a special mention of Greenwich Mean Time and the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, London.
