From the Native mound under the Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument on Public Square to how the ancient Greek father of geometry inspired the name of Cleveland’s main street, you are sure to be surprised at the things you do not know about Cleveland history. You will learn about the 9000-year-old Proto-Indians, New France, Stigwanish, the Ohio and Erie Canals, Walk-in-the-Water’s maiden voyage and perhaps the most fascinating figure in the history of Cleveland, Harry Coulby.
John Schepley explores this fascinating Cleveland history with the help of photographs, maps, printouts and exhibits.
