Meet The Author—Caron Wykle
Caron Wykle grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio. As an adult, she has been performing in musical theatre for over nineteen years and is involved in ballroom dancing. Currently living in Solon, Ohio, she performs with an organization called The Reading Group, which interprets popular children’s books through acting, singing and dancing for inner-city school children and youth from homeless shelters. The group meets through the Idea Center and performs at theaters at Playhouse Square in downtown Cleveland. The Last Green Leaf is Caron’s first book and features Petey, a green leaf, who despairs when he is the last green leaf left on the trees in fall. The story illustrates the importance of not having to be like everyone else.
