Upcycling: From Rags to Riches

For students in Third through Eighth grade. Upcycling is taking an item that is no longer needed or wanted and giving it new life as something that is either useful or creative. Learn how to transform old clothing into new treasures. Turn an old t-shirt into strand necklaces, infinity scarves or a tote bag. Discover more about the upcycling movement and then use your imagination to create your own work of art. Some materials will be provided, but students are required to bring an old t-shirt to use for upcycling projects.
