The Wolf: Fact vs Myth
The Wolf: Fact vs Myth: For the Whole Family
Who's afraid of the big bad wolf? Throughout history, humans have used wolves to teach lessons by giving them the role of the "bad guy" in myths and fairy tales. What most people do not know is how similar wolves are to us; they live in family units that work together and rely on one another in every aspect to thrive. As an apex predator, their presence in the ecosystem is also very valuable. They keep animal herds in check, which in turn allows other animals and plant life to thrive. The goal of this program is to educate the public on the myths vs the facts, in hopes that future generations will care about these animals more than those before them. Meet a wolf ambassador (a live wolf) from the Ohio Canid Center in central Ohio in the Main Library Multipurpose Room at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2022. Visit their Website at http://www.ohiocanidcenter.com/. No registration is required. Attendance will be limited to allow for social distancing.
