For Students in Fifth through Eighth Grade

Life as we know it only exists on Earth, but NASA has missions planned to explore other candidates, including Mars, Europa and exoplanets beyond our Solar System. How do you define life? Students observe soil samples of different materials and search for different characteristics of life.
