A disturbing true story from the Detroit riots. While police search for a supposed sniper, “Cleveland” Larry Reed (Algee Smith), and his friend Fred Temple (Jacob Latimore) take refuge at a motel. Two women from Ohio, Julie Ann (Hannah Murray) and Karen (Kaitlyn Dever), meet them and invite them to hang out when shots go off and put them in a terrifying situation with the authorities.
